Strochitsy, Belarus

We were surprised about having so nice historical place near Minsk! I can advice for sure to visit Strochytsy (The National Museum of Rural Life and Architecture) to anyone from my foreign friends! Especially it is very beautiful there in spring I guess ;) We've been there in the beginning of 2010 together with our 34mag team

Strochitsy is only 18 km from Minsk, is a small village on the banks of the River Ptich. Collections of original pieces of architecture let you compare Belarusian rural styles from different parts of the country and different ages. Wanna back...

I travel quite a lot, but now I have this strong wish to come back there as soon as it is possible. Moreover, I have visa in my pass, so it is just a question of time and money... UK is like a magnet for me now, I can't understand why!

While we spent our time in London in Dec, 2009, it was a huge fun for us watching Family Guy in English) Currently I'm watching 2nd season and enjoying it a lot. And now, after a week in the loneliness in evenings I was watched Family Guy, drunk tea with a milk, and yesterday I've discovered Billie Holiday for myself - I hadn't heard a word in Belarusian at all! As a result today I had my dreams in English!!! :). It was my final call to pack my bags! :)

Ducks. Cooold!

I've seen this miserable ducks today next to my work: about 100 birds in the warm plant drain... Fed them with a donut from my bag, which was supposed to be my dinner ;) Maybe I'll go there again with a loaf of bread tomorrow, poor-poor hungry frozen ducks!
